Obama Saves Teacher's Jobs...Again

A year and a half after passing $767 billion dollars in stimulus saving the jobs of teachers, firefighters, police officers, and putting the economy back on track, Obama has come to the rescue again. A man of lesser intellect might suspect there is something systemically wrong with public sector salaries and pensions, or that something went terribly wrong in the application of stimulus funds. That person is probably a racist Republican homophobe.

This week Obama signed into law an unnamed $26 billion dollar bill to save teacher's jobs and who better to do the job? Obama is the only president in US history with any track record on saving jobs, being the only President who has ever used the measure. Obama has already saved teacher's jobs once, therefore, he is clearly the best candidate to save them again. Detractors say this bill is subsidizing unsustainable public sector spending at the state level and prolonging and deepening state deficit problems only an inevitable budget correction can fix. Some detractors pontificate openly whether unspent money from last year's stimulus could be used to save teacher's jobs again. They are forgetting that money has been allocated to other super useful things that are absolutely essential to continuing the strong and historic economic rebound we are experiencing thanks to Obama's Keynesian insight. I for one think spending wildly on public sector jobs held hostage by unions is a top priority. I will gladly spend as much of your money as necessary to facilitate the status quo and stave off job losses in industries rendered completely unsustainable by union greed.

I think detractors need to take a real hard look at Obama's string of successful policies. If a contractor fixed a leak on your roof and a few months later you had another leak, wouldn't you call the same guy and ask him to fix it just like last time. After all, he already has experience with your roof.
