Obama's Catch and Release Law Enforcement Strategy

In a recent public appearance by Michelle Obama a child had some shocking new for the first lady. I flashed back to “Kids Say the Darndest Things” when a young girl asked the First Lady “are you going to hurt people who try and blow things up.” The First Lady responded, “That is something we have to work on.” The little girl then responded, “My daddy is making a bomb.”

The First Lady was shocked at the candid admission to the little girl and as expected, she reacted quickly. A conference call was made with the President, Eric Holder, and Janet Napolitano. The White House and press were in a panic over the turn of events and took immediate action. Robert Gibbs scheduled an emergency press conference to clear the air with this statement.

“We are deeply troubled by the turn of events today but I can assure you this administration is doing anything and everything to protect this father and his rights. Right now the family is safe and sound and we are investigating anyone asking important questions about the incident. Once again, I assure you we are doing anything and everything in our power to aid and protect this family in this difficult time.”

Republicans are once again living up to their new moniker bickering, ”No we can't just ignore this threat to our national security,” while the administration asserts, ”YES WE CAN defend the rights of this typical bomb making American family.” Formerly funny comedian Jay Leno weighed in on the debate quipping, “I just hope this isn't a nuclear family.”

In the coming weeks the debate is sure to rage on over Obama's catch and release law enforcement strategy. Should our law enforcement approach mirror fishing strategy? We just don't know yet. The one thing we know for sure is that the government is more impotent than Larry King without Viagra.
